Please ensure that you make an appointment for routine problems or follow-ups in good time, as demand for appointments can be high.
If you request an urgent appointment please try to inform the receptionist as best you can of the nature of the problem, this will help us ensure that you are seen urgently by the most appropriate clinical team member.

Appointments with Medical Students/Registrars
The practice is a registered GP training practice, and provides opportunities for both Medical Students and qualified doctors to complete their final qualifications in becoming a General Practiticioner.
Consultations with registrars/medical students will only take place with your prior approval and consent.
Patients over the age of one year needing same day consultations with the following symptoms can be seen by one of our Minor Illness Nurses.

Please telephone reception before 12pm if you require a home visit that day.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a district nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit, there are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
The practice is closed during the hours 6pm to 8am Monday to Friday, and closes for the weekends from 6pm Friday until 8am Monday.

Shropdoc provides urgent medical services for patients across Shropshire and North Powys when their GP surgery is closed and whose needs cannot safely wait until their surgery is next open.
